We arrived in Agrigento late Monday afternoon.  The countryside was beautiful with views of the coast and the Valleys of the Temples.  Here we strolled the grounds of our hotel and had dinner at the hotel restaurant (one of the best in Sicily).  The next day we rose early and headed to the Temple ruins.  The ruins were magnificent, I couldn’t believe how they made them back then.  For lunch we drove into the city of Agrigento and settled for prosciutto and provolone sandwiches at a cafe before making the 3 hour drive to Siracusa.
